Impressively, Responsibly Communicating About the Mistreatment of Others
John Cena opens up about his bad judgment and misbehavior regarding Dwyane "The Rock" Johnson
Entertainer John Cena admirably went big on his apology in talking about an old and now, extinguished feud with fellow wrestler-turned-Hollywood-superstar actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, according to a report by NBC News.
Cena admitted that his past discontent was driven by Johnson leaving the WWE to become a successful actor, a move Cena himself would later make.
Cena said his objective at the time was to do the right thing for the wrestling industry but “I went about it the wrong way. I violated his trust and I made allegations about his perspective that I knew nothing about. And deep down, I was a fan. I wanted The Rock back (in WWE). I wanted to do anything to get The Rock back, but I did it the wrong way.”
He didn’t stop there in his confession.
“I didn’t do it the respectful way, so I had to eat a little bit of crow. I had to say, ‘I’m sorry and I was wrong,’ because I am sorry and I was wrong, and that’s a very humbling experience.”
Look at what Cena did but many people don’t. He didn’t let ego get in the way of describing what really happened and where he erred. He confesses his approach was wrong and he violated trust and that he didn’t know what he was talking about. He wasn’t respectful and he was sorry and he was wrong.
Wow.
That’s not on the everyday menu in society with the vast majority of people. It’s rare. Yet Cena eventually came to a realization of his behavior and freely talks about it.
He can be a model for many people if they are willing to choose courage and exhibit healthy, strong, honorable character instead of giving in to the easy choice of oversized ego, a display of arrogance or falling victim to fear and rationalization.

Interesting story Michael. Cena probably felt better afterwards too. How did Dwayne Johnson respond? Are they back on solid ground? This made me think about the "rivalry" between Schwarzenegger and Stallone from earlier in their careers and now they make movies together. And Vietnam is now a major trading partner to the US.
